Last chance to vote!
I voted early. Not only is it convenient, it is very satisfying to have it done and over with since I had made up my mind a long time ago.
Also, I can just turn down my answering machine and hit delete on all the many robocalls. I am thrilled to be able to participate in this election which is momentous and historic on many levels. Daughter even wanted to vote and was quite disappointed to find out she couldn’t. The first time I voted was on a manual punch style machine in Florida. Even though I am not completely reassured that my vote will be counted accurately with the electronic scantron type system used by our county, at least there is a paper trail if there is ever a need for a recount. Please go vote, if you have not already done so, and do not be turned away by any lines that may form where you are voting. If you are in line when the polls close, they cannot turn you away. If you do have to wait to vote, on this the official voting day, please consider voting early if it is offered when the next election is underway. The poll workers have a lot more time to help you and handle problems early and with the many booths available at the one of five early voting precincts in my county you will surely be able to vote when it is convenient to your schedule and will not have to wait in order to exercise your duty and right as an American citizen.
